I always love receiving emails from others who have or are going through a QTR. Pete is the latest quadder reaching out.
“My sister sent me your book and it was waiting for me when I came home from surgery. Great book and good to know that there are other people out there with a bust quad or two. 2 doctors and a physio missed my quad rupture for 4 months because I didn’t have a scan right after the injury and I could walk a bit and make small improvements as we went along.
My advice to anyone out there is get a scan if you think you might have ruptured your quadriceps and if reattachment surgery is offered, even long after the injury, give it a shot. I’m still in a brace (30 degrees rom) and I’m already moving faster than I was before the surgery!
Good luck to everyone else out there recovering from this and merry Christmas.”
Yours,
Pete
